Privacy Policy for ScriptyView
Last Updated: February 5, 2026
Squidy Studios ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ScriptyView ("the App") handles your data.
1. Summary
ScriptyView operates on a Local-First architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, project logs, or imported files to any external servers. You retain 100% ownership and control of your data.
2. Data We Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, emails, or phone numbers.
Location data.
Device identifiers or usage analytics.
The contents of your .ssync files or project notes.
3. How Your Data is Stored
Local Storage: All imported projects, shoot days, takes, and notes are stored locally on your device using the iOS Sandbox and UserDefaults.
File Access: The App accesses .ssync files only when you explicitly import them via the iOS Files picker or "Open In..." commands. The App creates a local copy of this data for performance; it does not modify the original source file.
4. Third-Party Services
ScriptyView does not use any third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase) or advertising frameworks. No data is shared with third parties.
5. Your Choices & Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
Deleting Data: You can delete projects directly within the App using the "Edit Projects" menu or swipe-to-delete gestures.
Uninstalling: Deleting the App from your device will permanently remove all data stored within the App's sandbox. Please ensure you have backups of your original .ssync files before uninstalling.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
